In Montana, an Order of Protection is sometimes called a restraining order, but “Order of Protection” is the correct term. Sometimes you will see the acronym OOP used. We have a resource titled How to Represent Yourself in an Order of Protection Hearing in Montana that walks you through the process and provides tips on how to present your case. The resource includes a checklist of things to do before the hearing, which we hope will make the process a little less stressful for victims preparing for their hearing.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this year’s theme is “Our Voices Have Power. Together, We Can Build Safe and Respectful Communities.” Learn more about how we can work together to amplify voices and strengthen our communities at nsvrc.org.
