Divorce and Parenting Mediation in Montana

The Montana Family Transition Project is a mediation program that offers you the chance to decide what’s next for your family, instead of going to court and having a judge decide. The program is free to families who are eligible. A trained professional mediator will help you and your co-parent talk through the issues and make a plan that will work for your lives.

What happens during mediation?
First, each party talks individually with the mediator. The mediator then meets with you together over Zoom. If you reach an agreement, the mediator helps you complete the dissolution (divorce) and/or parenting plan paperwork and file it with the court.
As part of the program, you are each able to receive free legal advice from an attorney as well as a free child support consultation.

What are the requirements?

You share minor children
