This week is National Health Center Week (NHCW)! NHCW gives us a chance to recognize the dedication of Community Health Center teams.
Did you know MLSA works with Community Health Centers in Montana to offer free legal help? Since 2015, MLSA’s Montana Health Justice Partnership (MHJP) has connected low-income patients facing health-harming legal problems with MLSA attorneys. The partnership involves Community Health Centers, the Montana Primary Care Association, and MLSA.
Good legal support is a vital part of medical care. Our clients often deal with issues like unsafe housing, domestic violence, and obstacles accessing public benefits for healthcare and nutrition. Legal professionals work with patients alongside doctors, social workers, case managers and other staff to find and solve legal issues that affect health and reduce stress. The MHJP aims to empower patients to take charge of their own well-being.
MLSA thanks the care managers, social workers, doctors, nurses, and staff at the community health centers across the state for their commitment to providing quality healthcare.
